Helium Super Summit 2021

Adjusting to the Change in Helium Supply Dynamics

After several prolonged helium shortages over the past 15 years, COVID-19 may have finally brought the period of recurring shortages to an abrupt end during early 2020.  With supply and demand in relative balance throughout much of 2020 and into early 2021, the next challenge for helium markets will be to absorb significant, yet anticipated, new capacity from Russia and Qatar, over the coming years.

How will the new capacity impact global helium markets?  Will helium markets experience over-supply? Which applications and regions will drive demand? What new challenges will be created for helium suppliers and consumers?  How will Russia’s emergence as a major supplier impact the global helium business?  How will Qatar adjust to a changing supply chain?  Can the North American supply structure balance depleting sources with new, inert gas field extracted Helium?

These questions and many other issues will be explored as we also look at additional and new sources of supply, the future of the Bureau of Land Management’s helium assets, new technology for helium extraction and other relevant topics.

As the somewhat dynamic helium business goes through another period of significant change, and COVID hopefully subsides, it is timely to host an in-person forum for insight and knowledge-sharing, for discussion and debate. That forum is the Helium Super Summit, 2021 organised by gasworld, that’s coming to Houston, Texas from 7th – 9th December 2021.

To be held at the Westin Houston, Memorial City Hotel, the “Super Summit” will provide an expanded stage for helium market and technological development discussions. A combination of esteemed speakers from various parts of the helium business, with key new market entrants and industry analysts, we aim to deliver everything you need to know about expectations for the helium business for the next decade.

Providing an expanded stage, across 2.5 days, also means even more invaluable networking opportunities between suppliers, end-users and equipment innovators alike. If helium is your business, your procured gas, or on your radar, then the Helium Super Summit 2021 is the conference for you.
